Mary Elizabeth Joyce, DMD, MS
Dr. Mary Elizabeth Joyce was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. She attended Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology, magna cum laude. She went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she was awarded for her achievements in periodontics.
Dr. Joyce then continued her post-graduate periodontal training at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in the Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. This program is one of the only in the country to train residents in periodontal microsurgery. During the three-year program, she served as the Chief Resident and was recognized with the Billy M. Pennel Award for her research on periodontal regenerative membranes. She graduated with a certificate in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry and received a Master’s of Science in Dentistry. Dr. Joyce is excited to be practicing in her home state of Florida.
