Meet Dr. Orellana Tampa, Florida

Elsy Orellana, DMD, MS

Dr. Elsy Orellana was raised in the Sunshine State in the small town of Port Richey. She began her educational journey at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida where she received her Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2016. She went on to complete the rigorous Masters in Biomedical Sciences at USF in 2017. In 2021, Dr. Orellana obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Orellana continued her 3-year post-graduate training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina specializing in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry while also earning her Masters of Science in Dentistry. During this time, she was recognized with the Billy M. Pennel Award and as a Baliant Orban Memorial Competition finalist for her research on the pathogenicity of P. gingivalis in periodontal disease. Dr. Orellana’s practice philosophy is based on fostering an environment of trust with her patients. She is fluent in Spanish and strives to provide high quality comprehensive treatment to the greater Tampa Bay Area. In her spare time, Dr. Orellana enjoys trying new restaurants and spending time with her family.
