Meet Dr. Podaru Tampa, Florida

Alex F. Podaru, DMD, MS

We are pleased to announce the addition of Alex F. Podaru, DMD, MS, to the team at Tampa Bay Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Podaru will begin seeing patients at our new Brandon location (330 East Bloomingdale Avenue, Brandon, Florida 33511), on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

Dr. Podaru is both a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (ABP Board Certified) and a Fellow in The Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCD Board Certified).

Before graduating from the University of Florida’s Periodontology program, Dr. Podaru’s dental training began at the University of Montreal, where he graduated top of his class. Dr. Podaru then followed up with a 12-month General Practice Residency at Jewish General Hospital, in association with McGill University, where he served as chief resident.

While at the University of Florida’s Graduate Periodontics program – one of the top Periodontology residencies in the United States under the guidance of Dr. Rodrigo Neiva – Dr. Podaru received multiple academic distinctions.
